A 1908 Congress Park townhome, opened up without losing its bones
A historic brick townhome a few blocks from Congress Park, the Denver Botanic Gardens and Cheesman Park. The kitchen and dining wall came down to make one open room around a quartz-topped island and Fisher & Paykel appliances, while the original tiled fireplace, tall original windows and staircase stayed. Upstairs, three bedrooms share the landing; the primary opens onto a newly rebuilt deck over the yard. A lower-level apartment with its own kitchen and private entrance added flexibility.
Highlights
- Original tiled fireplace with gas insert
- Open kitchen with quartz island
- Rebuilt deck off the primary bedroom
- Lower-level apartment with kitchen and private entrance
- White birch floors on the main level, original hardwoods upstairs
