Cherry Creek
Denver’s most walkable shopping district, wrapped in some of its most rebuilt residential blocks.

Cherry Creek is where Pam keeps her office, at Compass on Columbine Street. The neighborhood is really two places at once: Cherry Creek North, roughly sixteen blocks of independent shops, galleries and restaurants, and the residential streets around it, where 1950s ranches and brick bungalows have steadily given way to modern single-family homes, duplexes and low-rise condominiums. The creek and its trail run along the southern edge.

Housing
What you’ll find
Expect a wide range on the same block: original mid-century homes, newer contemporary builds with rooftop decks, side-by-side duplexes, and boutique condominium buildings closer to First and Second Avenues. Small gated enclaves such as Belcara, just south of the creek, offer lock-and-leave single-family living. Lot size, zoning and the age of neighboring homes matter a great deal here, because they shape both today’s value and what may be built next door.
Getting around
Location
Downtown is about ten minutes west by car along Speer Boulevard; Colorado Boulevard and I-25 are close. Many daily errands are walkable from the residential blocks north of First Avenue.

Pam in Cherry Creek
Pam represented the buyers of a 5,343-square-foot home in the gated Belcara enclave, a property that drew multiple competing buyers. She can walk you through how new construction and lot value play out street by street.
